Egyptian Hibiscus Strawberry Cooler - BlueTea Blogs of 2018

The Indian summers call for a generous serving of a chilled drink on a hot afternoon, with a good book or some great music, or a bunch of your best buddies. Whether you want to just unwind on a Sunday afternoon, or greet your guests with an exceptional drink, a summer cooler made with seasonal fruits and organic herbs can just do the trick. And we don’t mean the conventional fruity drinks. But a fruity-floral tea instead.

A cooling drink made with Egyptian hibiscus flowers and farm fresh strawberries can be the perfect recipe to enjoy the summer, rather than hiding from the sun. Hibiscus flowers are known for their cooling properties. And so are strawberries. The top fruity taste with an underlying floral aroma makes this drink unique. And the natural crimson colour of the sundried hibiscus flowers, merged with the red tint of strawberries adds to a great visual appeal- something you would love to flaunt to your guests. Blue Tea India’s Red Tea is packed with the goodness of sundried Egyptian hibiscus buds and blended with organic ginger and lemon rinds. So, you can savour the tart, sweet and tangy taste, all in one cup. Topped off with stevia leaves, the tea becomes naturally sweet so you won’t need to add extra sugar.

Here’s our recipe for an exclusive Egyptian Hibiscus Strawberry Cooler

You’ll need:

Egyptian hibiscus tea (Red Tea bag)

6-7 fresh strawberries

Honey- to taste

Ice cubes, mint for garnish

Steep Red Tea in 250 ml of hot water. Wait for 4-5 minutes till you get all the colour and the flavours. Add 2 tablespoon of honey, while it’s warm. You can reduce the amount of honey if you like less sweet and more tang. Let it cool. Blend 4-5 strawberries in a blender and get the juice out. Stir it in the steeped hibiscus tea. Fill one-third of a tall glass with ice. Pour your tea and strawberry mix. Garnish with sliced strawberry and a few sprigs of mint.
