“Ayurveda is not gimmicky”- says Blue Tea Founder
Ayurveda, an ancient Indian system of medicine and healing, has been effective as a holistic approach to health and wellness. With a rich history spanning thousands of years, Ayurveda is based on a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit, and seeks to restore balance and harmony. Despite this, one of the Shark Tank investors, Anupam calls the Founders' approach to be gimmicky. However, this perspective couldn't be further from the truth.
Anupam said, “You made a very big claim but is not true. You said you’re the world’s first blue tea brand and I don’t agree with that. I have spent a few years in America and I’ve had a lot of blue tea. Branded blue tea is available in abundance. Then how did you make the claim? You are doing gimmickry that’s why I am calling you up.”
Blue Tea’s signature product is Butterfly Pea which is one of the age-old Ayurvedic herbs used for centuries. The tea is a delightful Blue in color and has several health benefits. Blue Tea has trademarked the same and has turned it into a globally recognized brand. The claim is absolutely correct in terms of business and technicality. However, it is not the first time that someone has attacked Ayurveda or those who vouch for Ayurveda.
Blue Tea had always been vocal about the infinite benefits of Ayurveda. “At Blue Tea, we believe that Ayurveda is a powerful and transformative approach to health that has stood the test of time.” - says one of the Founders. One of Ayurveda's core principles is using natural remedies and techniques, such as herbal teas, yoga, and meditation to maintain a balanced lifestyle, and support the body's innate healing processes. Blue Tea's offerings, including our signature blend of Ayurvedic herbs and spices, are designed to help promote balance and wellness in a natural, sustainable way.
Blue Tea grows its own herbs from its 200+ Farmers’ community across India, thus not only maintaining authenticity and quality but also positively impacting the income growth of these farmer families by 5X. From the seed of an idea in the brain to blooming into the fastest-growing global Herbal Tea brand to raising funds on Shark Tank in just 5 years, Blue Tea has come a long, long way.
